- Accumulator
- A single bet that links two or more selections, and all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Arbitrage
- A betting method that exploits differing odds across bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to a team to level the match, often eliminating the draw result and offering two possible outcomes.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bonus
- Extra funds or free bets offered by a bookmaker, usually tied to a deposit or promotion.
- Bonus code
- A short text code entered when signing up or depositing to unlock a specific bonus offer.
- Bookmaker margin
- The built-in profit a bookmaker includes in the odds, often called the overround.
- Cash out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, either taking a smaller guaranteed win or cutting a loss.
- Decimal odds
- A way of showing odds as a single number, where the total return includes the stake.
- Deposit match
- A promotion where the bookmaker matches a percentage of your deposit with bonus funds.
- Draw no bet
- A bet where you win if your chosen team wins, and you get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Fractional odds
- A way of showing odds as a fraction, where the numerator is the profit and the denominator is the stake.
- Free bet
- A bet provided by a bookmaker that you can use without risking your own money, with winnings usually returned minus the stake.
- Hedging
- Placing a bet on the opposite outcome of an earlier bet to reduce potential loss or lock in a profit.
- Live betting
- Betting on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline odds
- A way of showing odds as a positive or negative number, indicating how much you must stake or win on a $100 bet.
- Odds
- The number that tells you how much you can win if your bet wins, expressed as a price.
- Odds boost
- A promotion that increases the odds on a specific event, offering higher potential returns.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Point spread
- A number set by a bookmaker to make a game even, where one team is given extra points and the other is penalized.
- Single bet
- A bet placed on one event or outcome, as opposed to combining multiple selections.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- System bet
- A bet that covers multiple combinations of selections, allowing you to win even if some selections lose.
- Value bet
